Chocolate Sandesh


Sandesh is one of the healthiest Indian desserts & here I'm giving the recipe of Sweetness of Bengal in chocolate flavour :)

Ingredients (makes 12 to 15 pieces)
1 1/2 cup fresh paneer
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp rose water
2 drops of rose essence
1/2 tsp vanilla essence 
2 tbsp dark chocolate
1 tbsp cocoa powder

Garnish
Cocoa strands
Chocolate syrup

Method
Melt dark chocolate on double boiler
Squeeze out excess water from the paneer.
Mash the paneer with your palm. 
Add sugar & rub in well. 
Knead well to bind and get rid of any lumps.
Divide the paneer in two parts.
In one part add the rose essence & rose water.
In second part add melted chocolate, cocoa powder & vanilla essence.
Flatten brown paneer & put the roll of white paneer inside. 
Shape it into a cylinder.
Keep refrigerated for 30 mins.
Cut out circles carefully & put a drop of chocolate syrup in the center and cover it with cocoa strands.
Serve chilled.

Tips
* Paneer should be very dry or you will not be able to shape it well.
